Two Mississippi Museums
The Two Mississippi Museums are Jackson’s home of the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum and the Museum of Mississippi History. We worked with them for over two years to promote various exhibits and events, including the Emmett Till and Mamie Till-Mobley exhibit, The World of Marty Stuart exhibit, Mississippi Makers Fest, and the William and Elise Winter Celebration of Life, in which President Bill Clinton was the keynote speaker. As the official agency of record for the Two Mississippi Museums, through the Mississippi Department of Archives and History, we created an annual marketing and public relations plan for them and designed, placed, and managed all advertisements throughout the year in addition to creating messaging and managing their PR.
Approach
We identified target audiences for each unique exhibit and event at the Two Mississippi Museums based on research and data predicting who would most likely engage with them. We then created public relations campaigns, messaging, and strategies for each one and coordinated with leadership and the marketing and communications teams at the Two Mississippi Museums to ensure all messaging (email, text, social media, press, etc.) was aligned and cohesive.
