Stories
“The purpose of a storyteller is not to tell you how to think, but to give you questions to think upon.”
- Brandon Sanderson, The Way of Kings
“So, I have this idea…”
A conversation that begins with those words can mean a lot of different things. If you’ve ever worked at an agency or in a creative space, you know when you hear that phrase that you could be about to embark on an exciting career journey - or that you’re about to be handed a lot of work to do.
So in late 2025, when Emily Moore finished that initial statement with “....I want to start a podcast,” I knew two things: first, that we were about to begin something really fun; and second, that we had a lot to figure out and do.
The following months were spent brainstorming names, guests, topics, and technical setups. And here we now find ourselves - the “Moore on That” podcast has been released into the world.
We chose to focus our podcast on great people with fun stories and cool achievements. Our guests come from all walks and stages of life, and we dive into their real stories and real experiences. You can expect:
Stories about life & work
Stories about accomplishments
Stories about feeling like we’re not quite good enough
Stories about unexpected developments
And stories about doing cool things
Our hope is that by sharing these stories, you’ll be inspired to think through your own ideas and make them a reality.
Because if:
An art teacher can become a social media star who books the Grand Ole Opry;
A woman with no previous experience can row across the Atlantic Ocean alone;
A meteorologist can go from chasing storms in Mississippi to forecasting for the entire country on a network news station
And a journalist can go from the deep South to helping tech leaders shape the Internet as we know it;
Then your idea is worth pursuing too. Every journey makes for a great story, and we hope you’ll join us for some of ours. Check our first few episodes out today!
